I definitely thought 30 was a bit high considering what Jeep boasted. I'll reset and let you guys know.
I would be interested to know if you are still getting 30+. Most I have been able to get in my Trailhawk is about 29. More times than not, I average about 24 but then, I have a tendency to drive fast.
On my way home from work today, I'm definitely resetting it. I don't have a Trailhawk but I have the 4x4 Latitude model and I suspect they're the same as far as MPG's go.
A quick update on my original post. 550 additional miles (all city & town) and the average mpg is still in the mid thirty's (35.5) I don't know if it's the standard transmission or my driving habits, ether way I'm very pleased.
So after about a week or so of driving, I'm getting 25.6 MPG's. The original 30.3 I was getting had to be a factory setting like TrailHawk said. Still, not too bad at all. 620 miles driven so far....
My Trailhawk has been running 34.1 mpg on average for 6,200 miles. (That is 14.5 km/l for 10,000 kilometers) If i'm driving 'nicely' and turning off a/c then i'm just over the specified 39.75 mpg as specified in the brochures. (It's a diesel 9-speed A/T)
That is bad, can you tell us home many miles you have on it? What is your mix of city vs highway/freeway driving? (Moderators, can you please move this to an MPG thread?)
I know the Renegade tank size is 12.7 yet I had 44 miles left, two bars on my gas gauge, and filled up and stopped at 11.2, yet I was able to fill up to 15.9 after 5 minutes of slowly pumping gas. LOL. kind of odd that I was able to pump almost 16 gallons of gas. I know it's bad to pump that much though.
Usually most vehicles have a reserve. On my car its 30 miles, don't recall what it is on the Renegade. But I don't think one can go too low or completely out of gas because i think that messes up the fuel system. Still, being able to insert 15.9 gallons in a 12.7 tank seems both odd and impressive. Maybe the extra was the reserve?
Very true. But I had two bars left and 44 miles to go till empty so perhaps total gallons could have been 17.9. Insane.
Hello, My Renegade is a Limited 2.0 (4x4) Diesel Aut. 9 speed. I have the car now for 3 months and around 5000 km on the clocks. My fuel consumption is about 5,5 liter. I think iTS not bad after all.
My 1.4 turbo manual 4x2 Latitude is rock steady at 30 mpg averaged in mixed driving. The average indicator only tends to fluctuate between around 29.5 and 30.3.
My 1.4l turbo with 6 speed manual is averaging 30.3 combined. I have about 5k miles on it, around 25% of that is 75-80 MPH highway driving which I know brings the average down. I have maintained 33 mpg for some trips when I watched my speed and worked on maximizing gas mileage.
