Dropped mine off at a different dealer this morning. Hoping they actually drive it. They gave me a 2015 dodge journey as a loaner. Makes my damn renegade feel like model t compaired to how well this journey shifts. My key is definatly not working as intended either. Definatly starting to worry about my purchase from jeep they think that safety of my family is a joke. Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk
Bull shit! Tell them this is a safety issue and I am holding you liable!! Just got word after 18 days that my latitude has been in the shop. Chrysler has approved the replacement of my value body.
Awesome hope your cruising smooth in no time. They told me my key problem was normal again.... So after that We jumped into another jeep renegade latitude and it did not do the same functions as my key. Then we re created problem i am complaining about in my jeep that the other 2015 did not do. Thankfully they are going to look at it again on monday so i am still in a loaner. ( that shifts freaking amazing 2015 journey). Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk
I got wrangler sport for my rental. This has the fastest picking I can't even feel it shifting. I am anxious to get me baby back. I hope this fixes the problem. Maybe next week....
Got word last Thursday 12/10 they got approval from Chrysler to replace the "value body". Today day 25 without my Jeep!!
I got update today my ignition switch is being replaced. After 4 trips ending with "your key is working as intended". I had to show their certified techs that it was not a normal function on other 2015 renegades. Very dissappointing. Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk
Today is day 19 my brandnew jeep is in the shop. Parts should arrive by 1/5/16. Im so glad i finally broke down and bought a new jeep so i could be more stressed out about a new car breaking down then a 21 year old cherokee....... And all i can do is hope that this transmission issue is fixed when i go to pick it up. Getting any info is like pulling teeth i called 13 times and left my number everytime for a call back for 96 hours and heard nothing. ( at the dealer) Jeepcares is appearantly working directly with engineers. So they are 1000% aware of any issue she has commented on or should be. Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk
Got my jeep back after 30 days of being at the dealer!!!! They replaced the VALVE BODY brand new part from the factory. So far so good drives a lot better. Not happy with the dealer...........
What did the dealer say they are replacing??? What part is taking so long? Have you emailed Jeep customer service??? They replaced the Valve body in my Latitude so far so good running good.
They are replacing the ignition cylinder which consist pf two parts. Being shipped from italy i assume. Emily (jeepcares) seems to be higher up then customer service. She is helpful as one can be with me being as pissed off as i was on the phone a few times... Gonna set up a ride with a transmission tech when ignition is fixed so the transmission Guy knows exactly what issues im having. I am realllllllly annoyed but all i can do is wait at this point. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue with their transmission... long story short: I had my Trailhawk in for an oil change and they did all the software updates while it was in. After that service visit it gets stuck in 7th gear on the highway, running around 3000-3500 rpms. So I would switch it to manual mode and shift it into 8th and I could put the gas pedal to the floor without gaining any acceleration. I took it back to the dealer, explained my issued. They kept it for a couple days, and I got it back in the same condition. The dealer agreed there is an issue with the way my vehicle is shifting, but Chrysler says it's within normal parameters and the dealer apologized profusely that they couldn't do anything because Chrysler says there was no issue. So I contacted Chrysler... and after a week, I talked with a case manager who suggested I went to another dealer for a second opinion. Seemed reasonable. So I took it to another dealer, who took it for a short drive on the highway and quickly reported that it shifted into 9th as designed... of course on the highway home it got stuck in 7th all the way home. (Ahh!) I've been dealing with this for about a month now, and after a few long road trips with less than stellar gas mileage, I have found that when it does get stuck in 7th gear on the highway, I can flip to manual mode then right back to auto, it will shift into 8th, and if done again, (and the conditions are right), it will shift into 9th. After talking to the case manager again, I told her I was taking it back to my normal dealer with the new info. I shouldn't have to flip modes to get it to shift, but it works every time! I've also learned that I do not dare manually shift it into 8th when it gets stuck in 7th.... if I do it will not accelerate. Something about just flipping the mode makes it "remember" what it's supposed to do. My gas mileage had dropped 10mpg after that service visit, since I've learned to flip the mode it's down about 6mpg from where it was before. Has anyone else experienced this issue? The case manager at Chrysler said that there is a software update in the works to adjust the way the transmission shifts that MAY take care of the issue I'm experiencing, and all 9 speed transmissions with this software shift the same as mine does. (She also said there is no date for this.) I can't seem to find anyone else whose Trailhawk runs in 7th gear going 75 to 80 on a flat surface highway, it killed the gas mileage and what is it doing to my transmission?
They just called me n told me the key was fixed. Gonna go pick ot up in the AM Sent from my LG-H631 using Tapatalk
Hey guys and gals. Just got my oil changed 3 days ago here in Vegas. I asked the service folks up here if there was any updates and said there was one for the transmission. I had to make an appointment because they said it was a requirement for them to have it for a day. I dropped it off this morning at 7 am and hopefully I'll get it back either later today or tomorrow. If the ChikenHawk comes back them I'll get the service sheet again and write it down here like I did last time I had it in. I'll also observe anything out of the norm if anything since it used to drive fine by me. God save our souls for being the tip of the spear lol.
Ok...so. just got back right now and reporting in... Come to find out from my service bruh that there were more than one update to software...like 8 to be exact. #1 - 26CH: MISCELLANEOUS (RRT) 15-097 PERFORMED DTCM FLASH SB 21-038-15 REV. After I signed off the job I took a sec to shut off the car, wait for a couple and restart to make sure the basics were ok and haven't changed (startup screen, gauges moving to extremes and back, lights and warnings etc.). Had to change back a couple settings because of flash but nothing major...just personal preferences. Checked Electronic E-brake and signal and washer stalks, radio, window buttons and AC gauges and buttons. All good and drove out of lot. Tranny shifts more smoothly (yes, it is noticeable and significant) went on both the freeway and surface streets and checked braking and accel...no issues and still peppy like before. Noticed no sudden accel on downshift hooray! Only thing I have to say is that the signal stalk seemed like it was less sensitive to the "quick lane change signal" operations (instead of lifting or depressing the stick all the way to use the left or right blinkers to change lanes). I just have to keep it held there for like less than a half second longer in order to blink to change lane. So for this drive back only I would have to say that it's 2 thumbs up for the the Booger ChickenHawk. Gonna go up to Mt. Charleston, Red Rock, Veyo and Gunlock this month and I'll let you all know what I find if anything. Be safe and awesome you toasty toast toasters!
Thanks for keeping us up to speed on what's been going on with your Renegade. I was almost thinking that I was glad that I hadn't done any of the updates but now, I might have to consider it again.
