So, even though the TrailHawk Renegades will come with just shy of an inch of lift, I'm thinking I might want just a tad more to clear slightly bigger tires. Not sure how big you can really go with these things yet but, I'm also gonna want some kind of rocker protection. With that alone, I have a feeling we'd be able to push our way through a lot more terrain. How about you? What are you hoping to do with your new Renegade?
Bumpers will be an interesting animal with these. I'm wondering if we could see some flashback to the brush guard/winch days of old. I agree though, a little bit wider and taller stance with some bigger tires would be a great first step.
Bumpers! Oh man, they are definitely going to be a challenge for sure especially the way they kind of tie into the fender trim. In fact, I'm really wanting to know if the trim is cladding over the body or plastic that just takes up more space in the wheel wells. It'd be nice if you could remove them and get more clearance just by virtue of it.
I was looking at that as well. It's hard to tell from the pictures. If nothing else, it's a ready made line for the sawzall.
personally I'm going to go with tighter springs on my toaster, I want to be able to snipe the birds off the power lines!
If i got a red one i would tint the windows and put on some meatier tires and some wheels. this one would stay stock height and be a DD. Knuckles would be the grocery getter :roll eyes:
No mods until I get the feel of the thing, then likely upgrade the tires (stock size) and replace the air cleaner. After that, we'll just have to see.
You know, and that's just the thing about this Renegade... for us anyway. Not like we won't still have a built up Jeep to go playing on the rocks.
Yeah, always a good thing to get a feel for things as is. If nothing else, it helps you to know what it is you really need and/or want to modify. For my purposes, I really want to run a nice aggressive set of AT tires but there's just so little available in a 28" size.
Tiny is more what I would call it and, if you can believe it, that's the "larger" tire that is offered. Even the stock JK Sport tire with 16" wheels are a 29" and I thought they were small. But, I suppose it's all relative and this is a much smaller Jeep.
