Going to Moab for the first time in the Renegade. Just got some Yokohama A/T tires put on, full size spare, water and gas tank, and some dark tint. Not doing anything crazy. Been to Moab once before and got to cruise a Wrangler for a full day, but cant remember much about the area. Well be heading to Shafer Trail, White Rim Trail (only to Musselman Arch), Gemini Bridges Trail and Long Canyon Trail among the big parks. Ive been doing online research for a few weeks checking videos and reviews trying to see what to expect and if I can take these trails. I think I can so wish me luck. Any advice or tips always appreciated!
How cool is that! How are you carrying the extra fuel and water? You should be fine in all the trails you've mentioned. Be sure to take lots of pics and pot them up
Got two five gallon recepticles would really love to roof mount. But decided tires are more needed that roof rack at moment. When i get a rook rack ill rey to get one of those military x gascans and mount it up there in between me and my fiances mountain bikes! Will be bringing a 14 in charcoal grill also. I worked at UPS for a few years so my packing skills are on point. Ill def take before after and packed pics for the forum. Also how the tire fits in. Pretty excited for the trip.
First day in Shaffer Trail and White Rim Trail were great! Were out by 530am to enjoy a great mild morning before some crazy weather is brewing for the night. Latitude didnt bottom out once handled great and his size is really great on the trail. Trail tunes on the awesome stereo are great too. Great jeep cant wait for mod ops down the road. Ill post pics in days to come. Looking for another mild trail in area other than gemini bridges that were hitting tommorow. Any ideas? Beef basin too tough?
Tire size 225/55-18 Decided to do hurrah pass into chicken corners. Got to adventure base camp and had to turn back. Then took long canyon to pucker pass and went thru some shit trying to make it up. Got three quarters the way and then stuck and gracefully descended backwards. Totally great trails though. I dont think a trailhawk couldve made it up pucker pass today so not embarassed. If i had skid plates i coulve finished the corners. My lines were sharp my tires were sometimes elevated renegade was great. Pretty proud of her. Will post pics soon.
Awesome - simply awesome! I so want to do that with my Renegade. Thanks for posting up these great pics
Thanks i already cant wait to get back out there. I went w my gf and asked her to marry me at thelma and louise overlook by the jeep
