Thanks for posting :) I'm picking up my latitude commando ( north edition in Canada) on Wednesday. Super stoked that you have the 18s and are able to do some trails in Moab.

Nice pics. I did Moab Summer of 2014 for the first time in my 2003 Grand Cherokee Overland and was amazed how beautiful it was and really enjoyed Fins 'N Things, Shafer, Poison Spider and Hell's Revenge. I plan on repeating that trip, driving from Ohio, August 2016 to show my family visiting from Germany what off-road is like as they cannot do that back home. I am also looking at replacing my dependable 2004 VW Golf TDI next fall and the Renegade Trailhawk is in my top 3 for a daily driver vehicle and mild off-roading trips. (The other option is to sell both my GC and Golf and get a Cherokee Trailhawk but afraid I will miss the higher capabilities of my GC when needed?) Heck, maybe I can win the lottery by then and get one of each model... problem solved. ;-)

The water was over the tires and at the deepest point was just over the Grand Cherokee lettering on the door. (I have a 3" lift and 245/70R17 Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires). The Grand is fairly watertight although we weren't in there for an extended period. I later found out my rear axle vent hose had fallen off but that was an easy fix and replaced the gear oil afterwards. BTW they have the Renegade completing Black Bear Pass on Motor Trend's Dirt Everyday Youtube channel.. Check it out.
