I live in Hawaii (more specifically on Kauai) and read a lot of reviews about the problems with the 9-speed transmission. I knew that I wanted 4x4, manual, and Latitude (aluminum wheels and AC are a must here). I found one on the big island of Hawaii. The dealer on Kauai was able to get it shipped over for MSRP. I got it two weeks ago. They are out there and even if you can't drive to another town to get one, research online to find one and see if your local dealer can get it in for you. I thought that was best knowing that I will be going to them for warranty, service, repairs, recalls, and anything else I might need. Good luck and good hunting.
Great! I love the little 6-speed! I don't know what the 0-60 mph time on it is, but the highest speed limit on this island is 50 mph. I can tell you the 0-30 mph is pretty peppy. Enjoy.
@Notsoshyguy , I have been to Kauai a couple times, I love it there. I have rented Jeeps every time and explored the dirt roads on the island.
Ride on!! I bought mine $19.4k out the door, 1.4T for my DD. It is stick shift and I am in control - can't beat that feeling on the road. very limited in aftermarket though I own wranglers (I should not compare).
