Well, after a few "events" where I almost couldn't get out of places that I easily got into, I traded in my low mileage 2016 Omaha Orange Renegade Sport 2.4L FWD, for a 2019 Renegade Latitude 1.3L Turbo 4x4 in silver. I also swapped over the custom wheels and all terrain tires I had purchased to help make my 2016 FWD more off-road worthy. Just for information, the wheels are Touren TR60's that are 17x7.5" with a +20mm offset. The tires are Toyo Open Country A/T II's in size 225/65R17. On the 2016 FWD Rene', I had to install an AVID 1.5" basic lift to get this wheel/tire combo to fit, and there was still some rubbing at full lock. Not so on the new 4x4. No lift required, and no rubbing. I am pleased with the little Firefly motor so far, although being a turbo, it does exhibit a bit of a "light switch" characteristic in terms of when the power comes online. This little motor definitely has a good amount more torque at a useable rpm range over the Tigershark 2.4L, so that's a good thing. Here's hoping for a long and reliable relationship for the next several years!
