I have a latitude 4x4 with the remote start, 10,500 miles with no problems until today when I went to start it. It was cranking fine but wouldn't catch. It was coughing like when you don't have quite enough gas, but I know it has at least a quarter tank. It would almost catch but not quite. And also the brake pedal won't fully depress, it will only go down about half an inch....ideas??? So bummed right now
A complete WAG! ( Wild Arse Guess) Fuel Filter? What is the replacement recommendation for fuel filter. Does not explain brake pedal issue.
So I wiggled all the wires I could reach, making sure they were in their connections firmly, disconnected and reconnected battery and it started no problem. Saw on other forums people were having issues with loose connections especially vapor return canister. Also with wires being crushed when the engine was installed (build dates before 5/15)...anyway no idea what the problem was and of course there is no point taking it in since it has decided to work again Brake pedal was just because I was "pumping" it when trying to get it to start since it is a push button start
