    Hello,

After a update a few days a go, my stop and go button stopt working. The man in the garage said it could be of the up dating. It takes 2 houres of my battery while standing still. So he dicited to drive a whole week to fill up the battery. Then it will work again. I have my doubts about it. What can I do?

I ran into something similar yesterday. My jeep would not start, you got all the dash lights, but nothing else...I tried the remote start, which didn't work the first time, but the second time it did...I let it run for about 10 min, and turn it off. Would not turn on either by the stop/start button or the remote start. After a half hr of futzing around, I got it going again and left if running. (I've had my renny all of 5 weeks, so needless to say I was NOT happy)
I finally went in and called the dealership I bought it from, their service department was not helpful at all...their response: We won't be able to get you in until next week. (are you kidding me, 5 days, a holiday weekend no less, and I'm stuck at the house?)

I called around to 4 other dealerships before I got one that was willing to take a look at it. It was an hours ride, and 3hrs of waiting, but totally worth it! There was some code's that popped up, some updates that they did, but the main problem was that a module that needed to be replaced. (I think he said BDM, but I am really not sure...I'll update this after I get it back ) He explained that one of the issues was the radio still uses a trickle charge even though everythings off, and this problem has been popping up more and more. He ordered the module and said it would be in on Tuesday, in the meantime he said that he was giving me another renny as a loaner. (had all of 54 miles on it) From here on in, I will be going to them to have any work done!

Whether this is the same issue with yours, who knows...but it might be worth mentioning to your service people.

    UPDATE:
Got my jeep back. They did find a fault (U1765-87)When they checked for related bulletins they did find one that describes intermittent no start issues (star case 1608000144)...which entails checking and/or fixing the grounds. (have to take the left tire off, to gain access to it) They also found another bulletin (1608000201)that recommends checking and/or fixing splices (s070a & s070b)in the left pillar area.(another not easy to get to spot. They inspected all the connections in the wiring harness near the rf hub & splices.
Continued to retrieve ccommunication diagnostic procedure from tech connect. Following the diagnostic info it is recommended replacement of the rf hub, which they replaced, programmed and rechecked DTC's, still had fault.
This issue was something that they have not run into before, they ended up talking with the factory engineers, who came up with a software fix for it. They also did flash updates for PCM and the instrument cluster.
Hopefully some of this info will help anyone else that is having the same problems I had.
