I saw this company on u tube offering items for renagades. They claim to have an undetectable flash to fix sluggish shifts and other things. 100% no void warrenty and you can reload as many times to only 1 vin.

Technically, a flash is a warranty void right off the bat. It writes to a flash counter on the ECM and FCA doesn't particularly like others flashing their vehicles.

I'm very familiar with that company, former race sponsor of mine, that statement simply isn't true.

My current race sponsor, Eurocompulsion, is the foremost tuner for Fiat/Alfa in the country. If they tell me that there is a flash counter, I assure you there is one.

Anyhow, yes any vehicle that can be flashed via OBD-II had a counter on it. The whole purpose is so FCA can verify flashes when they do updates to the vehicle and to verify that someone hadn't been tampering with the vehicle.

On a related note, they'll be checking the Renegade out soon, gotta finish my 15 Abarth first.

Afterwards, if it is indeed flash tunable, they'll do a Stage 1 & 2 setup. Stage 2 would be to the tune of 220whp, Stage 1 190-200whp.

Based off dyno numbers from the same 1.4T being in the Abarths.

On a very related note, dyno'd the Abarth this morning (which is using the same piggyback the Renegade will be using) and the Stage 1/Dynamic Map yielded 203whp & 215wtq.

Mind you, that isn't SAE corrected and 3rd gear isn't exactly 1:1 and neither is 4th...but you get the idea.

So that's about what you would be looking at getting. Little more testing for the Stage 2 map, but you can contact Eurocompulsion and get one in approximately a month.

Gotta finish the car, then will verify tune on the Renegade and in a few months it'll go on a 4wd dyno ;)

It went really well this weekend and I'll get another box here as soon as I can and do some map testing. I'll keep everyone updated.
