As a member of this fourm for a year,I lost out on my jeep due to an illness last year. The wife wants to still get one but the recent death about the transmission going into gear and pinning this young man. And that fiat has paid out 508 million in claims does this effect jeeps or was it only cars. Being handicap a safety issue is #1 for me. Beside the jeep dealership on Sahara & rainbow in Vegas . Is there a dealership around Vegas that's good to deal with and installs daystar lifts and other products.

The transmission recall on the Grand Cherokee is only for the gear shift mechanism. The issue is it wasn't readily apparent if the vehicle wasn't in park and people would accidentally leave their vehicles in gear or neutral when they got out of the vehicle. The transmission was not shifting into gear by itself nor was there any kind of transmission failure. No parts are shared with the Renegade and it's wholly unaffected.

Thanks the wife saw dead actor and was worried. Any idea of when 17 jeeps can be ordered. I had waited 17 weeks this year for my jeep and my cancer kicked in again . It forced me to not pick up the jeep on time so the dealer sold it. I'm hopeing for an oil burner a friend has one and it mpg is as bad as a renagade.
