The wife and I went up Rampart Range Road from Colorado Springs, and also did about six miles of Schubarth trail in the 4x4 1.4T Sport.

Beautiful drive. The Renegade did very well. At some points on Schubarth I decided to take the more difficult lines to see what would happen. A few times we had two tires off the ground, and didn't get stuck. Low range would have been handy, and I don't think I'll take the harder lines again, because it required some very unpleasant clutch slipping.

Worth it though, I was very impressed with how even this base model Renegade performed.

On the way out, we passed a very low Subaru WRX wagon making its way onto the trail. I'm pretty sure that guy ended up with some new scrapes and dings by the time he finished.
