Its a setting in the Uconnect software, must have gotten reset when they flashed your computer. You can go in there and turn it off so that the parking brake doesn't come on automatically. If you don't change it, the parking brake will come on every time the vehicle is put into Park.
There's also a setting to turn it off when you start moving (at least with the 6 speed). It actually works quite well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When it comes to the UConnect functions, does the head unit have to be a UConnect6.5 or does UConnect have the functions on the UConnect5.0? Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
The Uconnect 5.0 has a lot of functions including e-brake options. It probably doesn't do quite as much as the 6.5 but you can control many functions with the 5.0. Lights, locks, dash board settings, rear camera, etc. The menus are pretty straight forward.

Mine is through the dash display. But I have the basic UConnect3.0 so check there as well, I'm not familiar with the 5.0 and the 6.5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To access the menus push the "+ More" button, lower right button on radio. The menus will then appear on the screen. Scroll thru them using the up/down arrows to select the function you want to view/change. Make changes, hit done when finished.
I went up to Flagstaff yesterday and was able to try everything we had talked about from the touching of the gas petal to turning off the auto parking break and you all are correct.
