MidnightRider.jpg Got a 2016 Renegade Trailhawk about a month ago, and loving it. (my 3rd jeep, had a cj5 & cj7 in the past) Have enjoyed checking out lot's of posts, and got tons of good info, when it came time to buy.
Have started a list of things to get/upgrade...the first one being a Rola rooftop cargo carrier that should be here by the weekend. BTW, I got it on ebay for a great price! ($137 & free shipping) If anyone is looking for one, I got mine from US Parts Outlet. http://stores.ebay.com/US-PARTS-OUTLET?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
The seller had 12 left Monday, only 6 left this morning. Planned on picking up the cross bars first, but when I saw the price for the carrier, decided to get it before they ran out. Have to take a trip down to FL in August...so definitely looking forward to cruising down instead of flying this time! In the meantime, plan on checking out some of the old back roads I use to play on in my earlier jeep days. ;)

Glad you are enjoying the Renegade. We took a trip to FL in April with our Renegade and enjoyed every minute of it. Comfortable, handled great and got good mileage. We put on 3400 miles.

How did the AC do down there? We've had some 90 degree days up here, and it seems I have to run the fan much higher & longer to get it comfortable. The vents in the middle don't have much cool air coming out compared to the side one's.
I've done this FL trip around 20 times in the past 11 yrs, so you get used to certain places to stop for things...LOL, will have to come up with new gas stops I think, with this smaller gas tank. I'm averaging 21mpg so far, so it should get even better with all the highway miles. ;)

I had originally wanted the red TH with more bell's and whistles, but it was sold 4 hrs before I got there. When the salesman showed me the the dk blue (fav color) one, even though it didn't have everything I wanted I decided to go with it. The one thing I really miss is not having some of the uconnect 6 extras, especially the app that if you lock the fob in the car you can use your smartphone to open it.
All in all though, I love it! ;)

The AC did fine, used it all the time with 4 people in the jeep. It wasn't that humid but it was in the mid 80's every day. We've done the trip many times as well and are used to the small gas tanks having come from a Ford Focus and VW's with the same size tank. Overall we probably added an extra gas stop each way. We averaged 29.2. mpg for the entire trip. This is the first vehicle that we've had and not noticed the AC compressor kicking in. I would put in on max air if I were going down now, it is pretty hot/humid there now. The mileage dropped about 1 1/2 mpg with the full time AC. Have a good trip.
