I'm specifically looking for other FWD/2X owners that have done a Daystar or other lift to their Renny. What were your experiences? Regrets? Raves? Other? Did it bring you up to a TH height? How's the ride? Please post your pics.

Also, after your lift did you upgrade your wheels and tires? If so, what were you then able to stuff under it?

I did a Daystar lift in a renegade sport 2wd. Steering feel a touch lighter, but it still grabs nicely around corners (for a crossover). I'd do it again. I didn't upgrade my tires yet, but it looks ok without them. This gets your 2wd to above 8 inches, which is US Forest Service cutoff for "high clearance vehicle,"and that helps plan routes when using USFS maps. I have found the extra 1.5 of lift does help especially when going in and out of creek beds. Eventually I'll go up to Yokohama geolandar ATS 225/60/17.

Just when they run across service roads. In those situations, at least around here, the approach can be steeper than the 6.7 inch stock clearance can handle without an awful lot of fiddling, and there are plenty of raised edges about the height of a curb that you have to pass on the way out. Nothing dramatic, but in these situations I've found the lift to make the difference between driving over and scraping.
