Yea I took it out and left it as a pen holder at work still gotta take the dealers badge off the tailgate. Didn't want 2 ads on the back of my TH.
Ive seen it both ways, like everything else about the Renegade. I didn't get the cover with mine from the factory, but several others have gotten it with theirs. I also got the crappy plain steel spare wheel so I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more
The Renegade Ready kit supplies the factory hitch. Ours came with a heavy rubber plug that hinges at the top to expose the receiver.
