ZERO effect on ground clearance as last pic shows, sits slightly higher than the exhaust as it dips down right before the rear axle.

Thanks again Sgt_Strife, props on a nice piece of work!

    Here are the destructions:

First pic, plate coated with bedliner and then coated in Hemi orange....then dropped 6ft onto my carport and scratched the crap out of it lol, and put a new hole in my concrete :(

Pic two, is where it mounts which is just about dead center front to rear and there are 4 studs (painted over) sticking down about the diameter of a pencil. Also in this pic, the two rear studs have a retainer on them to keep the heat shield up, remove them.

Pic three, they primed and painted the studs, so you need to try to clean them up a little or you'll end up with......

Pic four, which is what happens if you leave the paint there and don't remove the retainers....so remove the retainers (with a pair of side cutters and just cut it in half) and run the nut finger tight up the studs to remove the paint, unless you have a die to do it.

Pic five is what it looks like installed. With good clearance all around, almost like it was well designed or something? [emoji14]

Pic six, as you can see this thing is tucked up quite nicely. The exhaust, just before the rear axle, dips slightly lower than this hangs and the rear axle sits just below as well. So this WILL NOT effect your ground clearance, unless you happen to go over a hill at a very sharp angle, and you'll hit more than just this lol.

Anyhow, the only suggestion I have is to add some washers. The nuts are flanged, but my two cents is to add a washer and I'll change them to nylock nuts before too long.

Not that I think they'll come loose, but I'm a huge fan of using nylock nuts with lock washers for things I never want to remove again. fwiw, I believe that any skid plate type thing should have nylock nuts.

I'll give this a 99 out of 100 rating, -1 for flange nuts rather than nylock, but that's personal preference......and I can't give a 100 out of principle ;) (seriously though, this deserves a 100 out of 100)
