I am looking to buy new rims and some KO 2's. I've got a 2016 limited with a 1.5 inch DayStar lift. How big can I go with both the rims and tires? Not worried about $$ just want it to look sweet! Any suggestions on an ideal setup??
I'm with you and would really like to know the tire, rim and back spacing size needed to fit under a 2016 4x4 Latitude with a 1.5" Daystar lift. (No rubbing or trimming) My local 4 wheel parts wholesaler (who have always been good to me with my Wrangler LJ) in VA Beach is surprisingly clueless as to what wheel/tire package could fit after 1.5" lift. My toaster will be the first one they have done. I have noticed the Jeep dealership right next door to them though have had a few lifted Renegades with aftermarket tire/wheel package, lift, etc. and from what I'm told (from 4wheel parts) is that the dealers did the install and mods themselves. They look really good! I'm guessing I should just take a little trip to see them, ask and look for myself on the tires in order to answer my burning question that's plagued me since the day I bought my toaster a month ago.
I have read the many threads but they often contradict themselves??? I went to the Dealer as well and they were clueless and could only offer me one rim which was nasty! I went to Americas tire and they ordered 18x8 Rage rims with 255/55/18 tires and said trust US! I said what your are ordering goes against everything I have been reading and of course when they showed up they did not fit! So still stuck with a lifted Renegade that looks like its wearing a pair of skinny jeans...which are nasty!
Well I'm running 225/65/R17 KO2's with 1" spacers on the factory wheels and I'm yearning for a bit more. The ride is nice. Don't have to worry about any rubbing/trimming, etc...but I really want a more aggressive look/stance. I've kinda been after your same question and don't have an exact answer. I do know that Jeep/Mopar put 245 KO2s as well as some other shops with the appropriate/custom spacers. Not sure of the level of trimming required. I need to find a shop that is willing to work with me and find the right solution.
