So how many people would be interested in an upgraded shifter for the 1.4T Manual transmission?

Have an engineering company happy to check it out and he is getting back with me soon. He has some FCA CAD models and will have some more info for me soon.

Since someone will ask, based on the shifter made for my Abarth, it'll probably be around $425-450. If we proceed, there would be a group buy option, obviously talked over with the forum admins. So don't worry about that just yet.

Anyhow, ponder that and I'll get back with some info in the near future.

Like a complete replacement, as in take the stupid plastic thingy out and replace it with an aluminum/steel unit with no wiggling around.

So, you mean the shift lever, housing, and linkage?

If we're talking about the shift linkage, lets get a short throw!

Jack, that would be part of the idea. It would be a bolt in replacement, remove the console, remove the shift cables from the oem shifter, remove oem shifter assembly, install AAD short shifter assembly, install shift cables back on, reassemble console, thoroughly enjoy :)

Lol, so am I that's why I'm having Mikah dig through all his FCA info. About 2 years ago, he had a deal all but signed with Mopar to provide a factory upgrade shifter option, which is what is in my Abarth. But it fell through because they had a management change and the new person tossed EVERY idea from the predecessor.....

Anyhow, should hear from him soon and I'll get him all the info I can.

Speaking of the Group Buy deal, I'd venture we would need about 20-30 folks. I'll hit up the other Renegade place and see if they're interested as well.
