I just got a phone call and emails trying to sell me MOPAR protection plan. Did anyone here actually purchase the plan or have experience with the plan on other vehicles? And how much did it cost?
They didn't mention any terms or price, just saying it would extend the 3yrs factory warranty. But I found this on their website. "Mopar® Vehicle Protection is offered with a wide variety of time and mileage terms, typically up to 7 years and 100,000 miles. Lifetime plans have no time limit on mechanical coverage, but only for the original owner." I found some posts on Dodge forum, it costs about $2200 for lifetime on a Durango. Got it, thanks! I've never had good luck with getting my Jeeps covered under warranty and so I think I'll just save the money.
I think it is just the extension of factory bumper to bumper warranty, which means any non-MOPAR parts more than likely give them reasons to deny service.
