    Hi everyone
I'm Peter a new member here on this Forum and Soon first time Jeep owner. I'm a hardcore fan of Land Rovers and in general off-road vehicles, but now with family, kid, dog the works. I was in need of a good daily runner and the Renegade is perfect for the family and will keep the Misses happy. She didn't like the tractor driving thing to much ;)

Okay so the question is about the Engine that will go with it. It's a Fiat 2.0 Mjet diesel 120 cv version. Been trying to find out some information online about the difference in the version of this engine size, probably must of you (None US citizens) knows it comes in 120,140,170 cv. The 120 cv version is mostly sold here in Spain and Italy only. The 120cv version meets the European emissions standards 5.0 or 6.0 anyway super low tax and great fuel economy.

Fuel economy for 2.0 Mjet 120 cv

    Give and take

    Urban
    6,0 L/100 47 mpg
    Highway
    4,6 L/100 61.5 mpg
    Combination
    5,1/100 55.3 mpg

It might be a ECU thing between the 120 and 140 version just to lower the emission standards rather than internal engine parts valves, camshafts e.t.c the engine torque specs 320 -350 lb/ft maybe 350 lb/ft for the 140 cv only not sure, the dealership was useless to give any information. I know almost all of you dudes are Americans and are not allowed the diesel versions p.t and feel sorry for you guy's and girls, torque over horsepower any day. Any ideas what's the difference, yes thinking Chip tuning in the future if needed for compensation for bigger wheels

For now Daystar lift kit shipped by UPS , wheel spacers will ring Gforce on Monday and yes empty pockets

All the best and nothing better than wet mud in your face

I wish I could contribute to the conversation but, as you've pointed out, diesels are not sold in the U.S. :(

The dealership emailed me today and said the only difference where none turbocharged, that's sound strange but again 20 hp less against the turbocharged version uummhh, I really hope that's it and not 8 valve single overhead camshaft only. Think if you drive a 8 valve engine like a grandpa fuel will be somewhat lower than driving a 16 valve but less horsepower. Anyway a garrett turbo rebuild kit with a nice intercooler if there is room to fit the radiator unit. Should run me in a prize range of around 800$ maybe a little more. Will keep you all updated, what's possible to fit and how.

You can check this link. Some little information http://www.netcarshow.com/jeep/2015-renegade/
