For reference sake, here's what a "body lift" or red neck "hockey puck" lift is.

And, here's what a "coil spacer" lift is.

They aren't even close to being the same thing and anyone who would actually try to suggest as much is clearly a moron.

ManEater, this is a US based forum. We understand in Germany you are restricted by law on the modifications you can do.

HOWEVER, this is America, we have a practical can do attitude. Tell us it cannot be done and we just work harder to make it happen.

    Like the old saying goes:

The Person Who Says It Cannot Be Done Should Not Interrupt The Person Doing It.

all bullshit aside, I just have one question. Will this affect my warranty? (sorry if this question has already been asked, but I didn't want to read through all that crap)

It really all depends on your dealership. If you have a good working relationship with them (you get regular oil changes with them), you most likely will not have any issues. If you just pull into your dealership for the first time with the lift on and they have no record of you, there is a good chance they will flag your Jeep just to be pricks.

That was murder reading. SGT.Schultz was wrong they sell a lift kit in Europe it's very expensive. It's made in France they drop the k member and lift it that way. I cought the photo and write up by accident. I was on google uk looking for ham radio equipment and Shazam

Any idea if a 245/70/17 all terrain tire would fit on there with a lift?

Do you have suggestions of what tire sizes are optimal to run after installing the lift? I know it says it can fit up to 2 sizes larger, but have there been any concerns with tire rub when going larger?

Every tire made by a different manufacturer will measure a bit differently. ALL will be smaller than what is stated on the sidewall and some will be smaller than others. That being said, we were able to fit a 225/75R16 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro with some minor rubbing. I did have to do some trimming of the pinch seam and modify the fender liner a bit to mitigate the rubbing but now it's okay. I don't see how you could run a bigger tire without having more rubbing issues.

Vega, how did your install go? Curious to hear where you got it done, how well it went, and of course what the price tag was? Thanks in advance!
