Anyone applied the latest Uconnect update to 6.5?

    Update 2: UCONNECT® 6.5 RA4 16_24_31 MY16 BU NAFTA
Service Bulletin ID: 08-033-16 REV. C
    Release Date: 2016-07-14

Particularly if you have the Beats Premium Audio package, is it my ears/mind playing tricks on me or did you notice a nice (not perfect) improvement on the sound quality?

Does anyone know where I can find what has been updated on this release?

I'm gonna do it tomorrow. I've the Beats do I'm curious on what this will do. Is it possible this could add the same update the dealership has been sent to do?

Give Uconnect customer service a call. 1-877-855-8400 I have called them a number of times in the past and found them to be very helpful. They may have a write-up about the contents of the update.

I just did the update. I notice a HUGE difference. There is low end now (not a ton, but tons more than before). The main difference I hear is in the upper mids and highs. It doesn't sound like a cat trapped in a shopping bag anymore.

No I didn't. It was avail but I was gonna wait until I took it in for its scheduled oil change in September. While not perfect, I can live with the Beats now. I'm almost afraid to do anything else now and run the risk of messing it up again.

It's not like stepping into a whole new car or anything. I do a lot of music production and playing so I notice a lot of subtle things. To me it's a huge difference.

Glad to know that someone else also noticed the difference. It is subtle indeed. I guess they started to figure out the crossover frequencies, because the sound is more well balanced now.

But I believe there's room for more improvement.
The system still has low power/volume.
And I'm still boosting lows all the way up to 100% and holding the the treble at 0% and mids at -20% in order to get an acceptable sound.
But id does sound better, and as Mattsican said, I can live with it now.

Just did the update. Will have to spend more time in the car to see if it's really better or not. It does seem to have more low end and the mids/high's seem a little more clear/crisp. High-hats and cymbals used to sound real scratchy and distorted but so far they seem better. Yay
