We have a stock 2018 Renegade Upland 4x4. Came with 215/60/17 all weathers...which suck...thinking of a set of wildpeaks to replace them as we want to do some light trailing this fall. What would be the biggest size we could go with without any issues involving damage to drivetrain or having clearance issues. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
225/65R17 would probably be the largest. https://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Falken/WildPeak+AT3W/215-65R17 or https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-tires/falken-wildpeak-a-t3w/p/39669 Stock size Trailhawk tire
too bad you weren’t in Los Angeles.. I have a complete set of falken wildpeak ht’s from my trailhawk with less than 10k miles on em..
2017 trailhawk- avid 2.5” (subframe/carrier bearing/exhaust delete) eibach springs and 245/70/R17 falken wildpeak at3 tires on 1.5” spacers. pinch seam mod and additional lower trimming. minor rubbing only at full turn and mostly in reverse. I got confused when researching tires choices that I didn’t realize they were too big until they were installed; by one size and a 1/2”. I figured that once you’re committed to doing the pinch seam mod any additional trimming sort of falls into that too.
oh, and no sway bar connection up front. was getting a clunk from avid’s sway bar links and rather than try to hunt around for another solution I attempted to order sway bar brackets from daystar but they are being a pain to order them from. so I’ve left them disconnected
