So the brain trust at Jeep design a top that makes it a crap shoot as to whether you can chance rolling down your windows. This weekend the wife washed her Renegade, so I knew water would collect in the top. So when we pulled off, I got up to speed and hit the brakes hard enough (I thought) to clear all the water out of the top. We drive down the road a bit and let the water blow off. She rolls down her window just before I end up taking a rather hard left turn. Guess what? More fucking water... but this time it goes in the passenger window and all over her. So yes... this is TOTALLY about water getting on the windows. I didn't realize that buying the retractable MySky meant you shouldn't use the driver and front passenger windows. Fucking brilliant.
has anyone with this problem tried wind deflectors? or have them installed already? Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Yeah same with mine, but my front roof panel also leak on the inside. As of right now just the under side of the panel becomes damp but its brand new so will only get worse
This happens to me and my MySky Renny. After it rains, the water will trickle down my front windows when I come to a stop. If my windows are down, the water gets in the vehicle. Usually the passenger side window, but it has happened to the driver's side. Very annoying. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Same with my 15 TrailHawk. Every time after a rain or wash, car is nice and dry. After driving a bit, the very first time you hit the brakes that water pours forward over the side windows and front corner of the windshield. If you have the windows down there is no avoiding it pouring into the vehicle, both sides on my model. I've just had to learn that if the roof is wet, windows stay up until the roof fully dries out. Its not ideal, but sounds like all of us will just have to live with it.
I think the point of this thread is ... "Dudeman" My Sky , Water just puddles in the channels, It should drain away and not puddle and build up with in the channels, then splash over when moving or stoping vehicle.
same with me. even more "fun" is when the water freezes up. sounds like the mysky is about to crack. great design!!!
