Has anyone installed one of these on your Renegade. I'm looking at options to put a trailer hitch on my Trailhawk and this seems to be the best non-OEM version. I ordered one a week ago. They're welding it together now so I should have it by the 9th of April. Apparently they make a batch of them at a time and when they run out they order more material to build more. It looked like the best solution from a cost and design perspective without shelling out for the crazy complicated stock solution.
I looked into these hitches as an alternative to the factory hitch as well. I looked for installation videos for them on You Tube and didn't find one specific to the Renegade, however, almost all of the vehicles that there is a video for required the rear bumper to be completely removed to do the install. I've decided to save up a bit more for the factory hitch as it appears it may be just as much work to install, anyway. Oh well. Let us know how the install goes!
In the end I opted for the factory hitch. In total it took about 6 hours to install. That includes creating my own template to cut the bumper. It waasn't fun or easy, but all in all it is really the best solution.
