Hope the collective wisdom can help me with the one thing that I don’t like about my toaster.

I’ve got a ‘16 Lattitude with the 7” infotainment/nav system. I bought it used and according to Carfax it was a corporate vehicle in its previous life.

When I go above 65mph I get a “ding” and a warning in the center display letting me know about it. I’ve found and disabled speed warnings in the nav system but it still get these alerts. Tried going through the menus for the main display and didn’t see anything obvious to disable it there either.

I’m sure it’s something simple I’m overlooking but I’ll be danged if I can find it and any help will be appreciated.

Are you using the controls on the left side of the steering wheel. You cannot be moving to access the menus. Press the ok button on the left of the steering wheel, scroll using the up/down buttons until you see security. Press ok again to select security then select speed warnings. You can set a speed or turn if off. Press ok again. That should turn it off.

Thanks for the quick reply. I knew it would simple and easily answered here.

“Security”? No wonder I couldn’t find it, would never had thought to look there. Actually don’t recall even seeing that as an option.

I’ll give it a look in the morning when I fire it up to head to work.
