2500 miles! That's it? Tuck is 3 mos old and has two camping trips and 10176 miles on her already.

You are making me feel bad. ;)

    Cheers!

Many Thanks to Ernie for an Awesome Day at Rowher Flats OHC!

Guys, you have to join us the next time out. I was SOO happy that I went. Awesome place. Great trails. Beautiful scenery. And ocelotl rocks (again, much appreciated)! Here are some pictures from today's outing...The last one is of my host for the day, Ernie. Cheers!

Looks like you guys had fun! How difficult was the terrain up there? Hopefully I can make it to the next trail run!

I'm pretty annoyed, I missed this one because I had an appointment to take Hawkeye in to get the starter looked at, but when I got there (Bright and early at 8:00) I was told that since it was an intermittent issue on a cold start they wouldn't be able to try to diagnose until monday morning (Since they're closed sunday). And they wouldn't give me a rental over the weekend for whatever reason, so I won't have a chance to drop it off until Monday evening after work. Then I just have to hope that they get it back to me by Friday evening since I'm supposed to be leaving for a little desert camping trip early Saturday morning.

But on the plus side, I had a chance to wire up my light bar while you guys were out getting dirty! The install came out pretty clean. Ran all the wiring as hidden as I could, and figured out how to feed it up to the A-Pillar and installed a toggle on it. Should hold me over until I can justify dropping $70 on the Daystar switch pod :)

Nice bro. Terrain is easy go but next time we are going to head through a trail that has some dicey spots but absolutely stubby views. Great time is guaranteed for all. Renny's definitely have the mettle for it. I'm hoping you can make it!

Ever been to Cleghorn or Hungry Valley? I handled both of them very well in my Trailhawk. Might be worth making a run up to one of those sometime. Cleghorn has an easy fire road around most obstacles for anyone that doesn't feel comfortable, and there was only one or two seriously dicey obstacles that I had to skip when I went. And Hungry Valley has a good playground-style obstacle course set up to see what you can do, along with a bunch of trails ranging from easy to somewhat difficult.

I've been to Hungry Valley. Exactly like you said. Its a four-wheel playground. I have not been to Cleghorn and that's one place I've been meaning to hit up! There's also Silverwood Lake Staging area that is close by that I've also wanted to hit up soon.

This sounds like another SoCal Renny Run to me [emoji41]

Don't put off Cleghorn, do it ASAP! It's super fun! But there's one alternate trail that branches off to the right near the end of the trail. Do NOT attempt it in a Renegade under ANY circumstances. You WILL NOT make it. It must be less than a half mile, and it took my friend in his decently built Wrangler over an hour to get through because he ended up tossing out a spring twice. The first time we were in a good spot to jack it up and put it back on, but there was a steep rock slide farther down the trail where he lost it again. He ended up just finishing that portion without it. Took a lot of rock stacking and skilled driving, and he was riding on his rock sliders a lot of the time. I didn't realize how intense it was and almost went through it with him, but as I was turning in another driver advised me to back off and take the fire road around. We lost radio contact with him and I ended up having to hike for 10-15 minutes to meet up with him at the halfway point of that section. Trying to spot him through was a lot of fun, but I'm glad I wasn't the one driving.

Yes brother. I had heard about the portion of the trail. There was no way I was planning on doing that part. Your experience just underscored my commitment to the Fire Road!

How do you get there? I'm coming from the LA area. Many thanks for your advice and directions. Hope to see you on the trails soon.
