So I had the Daystar body lift kit installed on my 2016 Renegade Trailhawk and all appeared to go smoothly. However, since the install I hear a knocking sound coming from behind the rear passenger-side wheel. The sound comes and goes, but persists after warm up. At first I thought it was the exhaust making the noise, but I am certain the sound is coming from within the rear wheel well, behind the passenger side tire. Does anyone know what component are be hind the paneling in that area? What could be making that noise? Could it be related to the lift kit install?

I just put the Daystar kit on my TH this afternoon. The EVAP canister is in the passenger wheel well behind the rear half of the fender liner. It has to be relocated slightly during the lift. I know my was a pain in the *** to get it lined up right. Maybe I was just frustrated at that point. They may not have tightened those bolts up all that. Or they could have left one of the many other bolts loose that you have to remove & replace back there.

Thanks for the info!! I'll bring this up to my shop and see what they say. I'll let confirm if it ends up being the issue.

I had the same thing but under the driver side, turns out the struts weren't greased despite having the zerks they came ungreased pulled them off and greased them and haven't had a problem since.

Follow-up: Called my shop, explained the problem. Dropped by the shop. You were correct. A hose came off/was never secured on the EVAP Canister. Th ey fixed it in a few minutes and problem solved. Thanks again!
