Not seen this problem posted anywhere. Noticed my interior side lamps in the rear compartment of 17 Trailhawk were out. Checked wiring and all the fuses. Wiring diagram indicated either lock assembly or the tailgate lift switch. Found it was the lock assembly. It still unlocked but must be a small switch in the lock mechanism. Did have both parts ready, but tailgate switch was not required. I can tell you that there is a metal pan around the lock that requires four rivets drilled and replaced.
