I left my lights on and my battery was dead last night. Couldn't open my liftgate. Pain in the butt getting to my cables I keep with the spare. Is there a way to open it when the battery is dead?
… good question, but no. Electric latches need electricity. lol There is no bypass. Usually the lights will turn off when left on, the car's body control module will protect it self (kind of a pain in the but when you need the lights on without the vehicle running). Your battery was on it's way out.
