I've done some googling, but haven't found anything. Does anyone know if this is in the works or if someone has come up with a good/reliable replacement for the 1.4L turbos?
… you didn't give us an example of something to look at? Which Oil Filter Canister Upgrade are you considering?
I actually have no examples, there are no OTS solutions I could find. I know that other platforms have had a replacement screw-in piece that allows the use of metallic oil filters. Would just be much easier than dealing with the plastic piece. And could potentially relocate the filter to point downwards or point straight up to facilitate easier replacement.
