Has anyone tried any of the Badge of Honor trails? What trail difficulty would a stock trail hawk be capable of with a good line? I'm looking to plan a Moab/Ouray road trip.
Yeah, but I saw lots of Pathfinders, and even a minivan & Camry in a place I wouldn't have driven them. The roads really are not difficult, nothing like Wayalife wheeling their Renny. Most of the roads can be run in 2wd for a good portion, if you want. I chose not to. Just pick good lines with your tires, and go slow. There weren't any huge rocks, and your Trailhawk has skids. I would run them in our Trailhawk.
Man. I search for videos of peoples runs of the trails i want to do on youtube i swear there was a water crossing that gave people trouble. Old lifted cherokee was stuck
Lol damn. Awesome thanks. That helps my fear level alot. Thoughts on the others with renegade? U seem to be knowledgable on the area and trails. Black bear. Ophir. Imogene. Engineer.
Most are pretty easy. The tough part is meeting other vehicles on the trails. Ophir is really easy, Cinnamon is easy, Black Bear is only frightening for the first 3/4 mile down the one way section, Imogene is a little rougher, but not that hard. Poughkeepsie & Mineral Creek (I think the name is) that leads to Poughkeepsie are rougher, but I'd run them in a Trailhawk. Poughkeepsie has a way around the Wall. Run the entire Alpine Loop. Lake City has a cool old pharmacy, converted into a gift shop that has an old fashioned soda fountain. Milkshakes and such. On the southern loop back, you'll see a sign for a ghost town, called Carson. Lake City San Juan Soda Company The ghost town Yankee Boy Basin
I did Imogene in my stock 12' Liberty, that rock obstacle is no big deal. Beautiful and fun train though. We hope to do it again this September in the JK.
