Due to Danish tax authority rules a.s.o. the local dealership 'messed' with the rear window functionality in order to disable them.
I'm often carrying the dog in the trunk so when I'm leaving the car at a parking lot I want to open as many windows as possible to give the dog more fresh air.
SO I want to reverse this disabling of the rear windows.
Does anyone here know how to detach the rear side door sidepanels so I can see what was done to disable the windows?

I don't have my owner's manual handy but if you haven't done so check your fuse box's and see if there isn't a fuse for the control of the rear windows that has been removed.

    Thanks Doug
I already checked the fuse box though. That's why I want to 'open' the door panels.

Wow, I've never heard of such a thing, that's just crazy! If I could guess, what you really want to be looking for might be behind the B-pillar panel. There might be a plug that was just disconnected to operate the windows. If it really is behind the door panel, you should be able to just remove any screws that might be present and then use a trim tab pry tool to separate the panel from the door itself. Sorry, I wish I could be of more help but there just aren't any factory service manuals available for the Renegade as of yet.

It is very commonly known that Danish taxes are the worst ever!
I.e. on a normal car you pay 180% tax + VAT. YES, that means you pay almost triple the price!
That is why I had mine converted to a van. Meaning removing the back seats. This saved me about half the tax.
But why would they go and disable the back door windows? Beats me.
Anyways, I want to reenable them somehow.
    I don't know what "B-pillar panel" is?
I checked the wire going to the doors. They are attached correctly.
This weekend I'll have a good look as to how to remove the panels. Will get back...

    Follow-up:
The back door windows were disabled at the motors inside the doors. The wiring was simply detached at the motors and at the switches. I had my mechanic check them when Trail-Blazer was at the shop anyway due to a flat tire. :)
