Just bought a 2015 Renegade Trailhawk. My husband has neck problems and the headrests need to be removed. Does anyone know the trick to get them off? Thanks for the help.

I dunno. The ones on the JK's are near impossible to remove and I would imagine that the Renegade is no different. Would be helpful though.

Hey Wayolife, I figured it out and it's easy. On the opposite side headrest support rod plastic guide there is a small square indention that is hard to see. [especially an old guy like me with lousy eyesight]. You have to push in on the button on the one side as you would to raise or lower the headrest and at the same time push hard with a small screwdriver on the small square indention on the other side support rod plastic guide. It helps if you have 3 hands but it can be done.
Thanks for your reply! P.S. I LOVE MY TRAILHAWK!!!

You are right about how to remove it. There's a tiny little notch that must be pressed to release the headrest at the top position.
I was annoyed that the headrest was leaning forward making me sit uncomfortable. So I simply pulled it and turned it the other way round :)

Pull the headrest as you normally do until it stops. Then look at the other side for a slot.. its hard to see but its there. You need a pointed pen to push that slot.. only then you can pull it out.
