Love my Renegade, but I don't like the front facia being so vulnerable. So I have started a project to protect it. This is the first step. Make a cardboard mock-up. The next stage is figuring how to attach the top end. The bottom I will attach to the skid plate mounting points. I need to design a bracket to attach at the same points as the recovery hooks. More to follow.

Looks similar to this... Although it doesn't cover as much as you are planning.

It will take some time, busy as all getout. I went running some trails last weekend and scuffed and scratched up the front facia with very little effort. If I can get a tire to it, I'm going up!!! The problem is plastic and hard things don't make for good friends, the plastic is always the loser. So, my 2 week old TrailHawk has some fresh rash. I want to be able to push the front end up onto something without issue, at least that is where I'm heading with this.

So, I have access to 1/4" diamond plate. Should have a piece this next week, then the fun begins.

I'm not removing the front end, this will be in front of the facia.

That would be good to see. If it were not my daily driver I might just do it.

I have made all the mock-ups, figured out the attachment points. Now to cut out the pieces, drill holes and start assembly and welding.
