Does anyone know what the rubber piece that pushes onto the round topped push pins is called. Apparently I lost one and my engine likes to complain about it at certain RPMs. It freaked me out when I first heard it. Luckily, I narrowed it down to the engine cover rattling. Its the front one on the passenger side that's missing.

It is called: " the rubber piece that pushes onto the round topped push pins". lol

The round top push pin is called the: Engine Cover Ball Stud. MOPAR part number: 4627724AA, $3.72 each.

The rubber piece that mounts the Engine Cover to the Engine Cover Ball Stud isn't sold separately from the engine cover. lol

The engine cover is $135.72, MOPAR part number: 68298922AA.

I would try going to a wrecking yard and grabbing one from a wrecked Renegade's engine cover. I am sure it would be much cheaper than having to but an entire engine cover.

Thanks for the info. I hoped I could just get the rubber. Guess a visit to the junk yard is in my future.

+1 for the junk yard. You might be able to use just about any Jeep engine cover to snag one of the rubber pieces. It's pretty likely that the ball stud and rubber "gasket" design is widely used across platforms.
