I would advise you to call or email Daystar directly to confirm.

Those welds were one of my concerns from looking over the pictures in Wayoflife's write up.

I have the 17" stock wheels and the shop that put it in for me said it would need longer camber screws to get it right. They also said they were on the phone with Daystar the whole day when they found they were going to have to trim skid plates because it would not go together per the instructions. They said Daystar finally admitted that they had not put it on a trailhawk themselves. The camber screws/bolts would have been another few hundred to get installed.

I had a problem with the front sway bar links coming loose on the bottom, re-tightened and they loosened up again one bumpy road later. Just put on lock washers and lock nuts and hopefully that will solve the problem :/

Considering the recall and the fact the lift doesn't really look like it helps with tire clearance if I had it to do again I'd skip it. A thinner wheel spacer (around 7/16") instead of the 1" or 1 1/4" may be better for increasing tire size since the outside of the tire at the seam bulge on the wheel-well seems to be the tight spot.

Thanks for the heads up. I just read about the DayStar recall on here, I may just end up saving and waiting a few more months until summertime before I make any decisions about the lift & tires.

Not really fair since this is an '07 or older JGC, might've had some settling in the last 10 years ;)

...sorry just have a soft spot for WKs since that's what I came from :p

Wait wtf, this is the first I'm hearing of this recall. If my rear axle "shifts" what are we really talking about? Can I keep driving this thing until I get an appointment or am I asking for an early death?

good ? I'm waiting to hear back from the Vendor that shipped mine to me and Daystar to see if mine was shipped from Daystar to distributors between October 27, 2015 and November 5, 2015.

It's actually pretty easy to inspect. Look for the bracket under both sides just in front of the rear tire. The bracket is bolted on and attached to the thick control arm. Locate it and see if the welds there are adequate. 1" on the sides and two 1/4" welds on the end.

Fair, but the proof is in the picture...for the moment at least. We all need our moments of glory.

Yeah, there is a bit at full lock, but I think that was an issue that Eddie pointed out could easily be fixed with cutting a piece out of the inner wheel well. Plan on trying that this weekend and I'll let you know!

What Eddie said! Haha, it helps a bit with the tire rub as well I'm assuming.

That looks like mine before i had my 225/75R16 Cooper STT PRO tires put on it. Be careful of the rear tires, as you can see they are severely toed in. This will cause premature tire wear. My truck shop that installed the lift kit said that it is a real bear to get the alignment just right, especially on the rear.

In case anyone cares about application of DayStar lift to the FWD model, I had mine done a couple weeks ago and have been very happy with the results. It looks much better, and even though there are tradeoffs with lowering the muffler, the relative clearance still is better, and it's worth it just for lifting the front "shovel" fascia alone.
