I have a 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk and I'm having issues with my backup camera. Right now, when I put it in reverse I get a green screen that says "system not available" or the screen will be completely messed up. It has done it in the past but starts work the next day or so. Right now it is going on four days. Does anyone have an idea about this issue. Thank you
I would remove the rear panel from the rear hatch and unplug the camera from the harness. It is a round plug with 6 pins/pin holes. I would check for “pin push” (that is where the pin gets pushed out of the plug instead of plugging into the other connector) and corrosion. Be careful if you try to clean the pins, they are very tiny. Sometimes, unplugging it and plugging it back in will clean the contact enough for the camera to start working again.
