Does the alarm arm automatically when you turn off the engine? My wife noticed, for the first time since getting her TrailHawk that what I suppose is the alarm light blinking right after she shut off the engine. I got in to see if I could verify that the light was actually the 'alarm armed' light and she was outside with the fob in her purse. Suddenly the alarm (horn) started to go off. I had no idea how to shut it off but when I got out, it stopped. And so did the blinking light.....

OK, never mind, I found the answer. After further investigation I found that my wife had opened the door and then hit the 'interior' door lock. It armed the alarm with the door open and she had just never seen the 'security indicator' light before. (Her last two cars didn't have an alarm so she didn't recognize the blinking light....)
