Anyone figure out how to improve the water fording depth ability?

So the stock non-TH water limit is 12", and the TH is 19".

Now that more and more people are installing snorkels, I'm wondering if anybody has figured out how to improve those numbers.

I'm guessing the issue is differential/transmission breathers and/or some electronic chingadera.

Anyone know for sure where the limiting factor is?

Granted, I don't plan on ever intentionally submerging past 12", it would be nice to know nothing bad would happen if I did.
