Has anyone done this? Was thinking of doing this? Not so much for performance gains but for greater water fording. If you look at it installed in one, it sits about 3 feet off the ground. Don't say snorkel not crazy about cutting holes in my fender. I know people say that with an open air filter water can get in easier but ever heard of a Hydro shield ? Just considering.

    Any thoughts anyone.
Oh excuse me I mean AEM

I know it's been addressed elsewhere on this forum. The first problem being that Renegade differentials are rated for up to 12" of fording (19" on TH models). I have this on my list of parcel projects, as you'll need to address multiple issues to make it properly fording capable. You can get kit to extend the differential breathers, but I'm confident there are other points that will need modification as well. Thus the "parcel project" moniker.

Interesting, and all this time I thought the 19" was the point at which the water would inter the factory air canister ?

So I guess the Renegade can go deeper it's just that you'll be replacing/repairing you diffs. or CV joints.
