    Hi there,
I am new to the forum and new to the Renegade 4x4. Which I love. However, I hate the tires that came with the Rene. Continentals. I am not an off roader but want good traction and some height added if possible? Without a lift kit? If possible. I believe the tires on there now are 215/60/R17"- 17-7" Rims.
Does anyone know a good tire that will fit for better traction and and any amount of height without a lift?
I just don't have much money.
I know a lift kit would be helpful, such as the daystar 1.5" but I can't afford it right now.
Will the BFG KO2's add any height/fit or am I just dreaming? Will this help the stance on corners where I feel the body roll which I believe is the tires not handling the weight of the vehicle. I don't care if it's an All terrain and even a cheaper all terrain because the continentals slide around in the back in 4x4 lock around here in Mass with snow. I know it's the tires.
Thanks for any help and sorry if this creates a new thread. I have looked through all the tire and wheel threads too and just couldn't figure out how to add to the already created thread Sorry for the redundancy.
    Thanks

If money is a factor, then consider that a new set of BFG K02 tires could set you back several hundred dollars more than a Daystar 1.5" lift kit; not counting installation, of course.

For a minor change, you could safely go with the 215/65-17 tires that the Trailhawk also uses. Others on this list have used BFG K02 tires in the 225/65-R17 size, apparently with good fit and no modifications required. Here's a good thread (on another forum) to read through to see what others have tried:

Thanks Mr Leroy, I was just thinking of the cost of the KO2's (they probably don't increase height) and that maybe I might want to get the lift installed and then look for other tires when I can afford it. I just wish the height on the renegade latitudes was just a bit higher so it doesn't feel as car like compared to say my friends Cherokee which rides higher. I will check out the non trail hawk thread thanks so much!!

For handling and ride quality you could check out the Eibach lift Springs which Tire Rack has for $275. I wonder if anyone on the forum could weigh in on the height gains and ride on a Latitude?

Thank You New Adventurer. I will be checking that out. It's an option I was totally unaware of. So thanks again.
