Hey Guys. Newcomer here. In waiting for a new Renegade Limited (one week to go). And since winter is coming anyways, I've started to look into new wheels, presumably BFGoodrich AT KO2 in 225/70/16 size. Does anyone have those size on stock suspension? Don't want go with spacers for the time being.

So if I've used wheel calculator in a right way the tires in that size shouldn't be a problem (but confirmation would be great to have anyways). While I have concern on the rim. What rim will fits the brake caliper? What would be the right offset? 35mm, 40mm or? Any other advices on the right rims selection?

Thanks Guys. Glad to be a part of Jeep community.

    ... to the forum.

The 16 inch rim is OEM for a couple of the trim models, so you shouldn't have any issues fitting over the brake calipers.

The offset for the Renegade rim is +40mm for all Renegade rim sizes (16, 17, 18, and 19 inch rims).

The only issue might be is going from a 215/65R16 (oem size for the Renegade 16 inch rim), is a 27 inch tire and the 225/70R16 is a 28.4 inch tire. Your clearance is going to be at the lower spring perch. and I for the life of me can't remember how tall of a tire you can go before the tire touches the spring perch.
28.4 is going to be very close, but can be easily remedied with a 1 inch spacer (as much as you don't want to do at the time being).

Don't forget to post some pics of your new ride when it comes in... we like pictures :D
