How much if any power loss is there on the non Trailhawk models running oversized tires like a 225/65r17 ?

I have 225/65/17 Toyo Open Country, you may notice a little decreased torque going up steep hills but overall it's a non issue.

Thanks for the info, I have a 2018 upland that came with the Trailhawk wheels but only 215/60/17 tires and 3.73 gears. Its a daily driver and I live in the mountains of WV so I don't want to loose to much torque. Not sure what tire or size to go with but know the factory tires are junk.

I'm in the same situation as you. I have an 18 upland as well and don't know what size to get. Did you pick anything yet?

Haven't picked anything yet, hoping to get a few more months out of these junk factory tires as winter is coming to a end here. Have been looking at the Falken AT3W which has come out with it in a 215/65/17. It seems to have good all around reviews and is 28x8.5 and 32lbs for about $150 a tire. Compared to a BFG KO2 225/65/17 at 28.5x9.0 and 39lbs for about $200 a tire. The reduced width and weight should help out with any torque loss. I am hoping to get some feed back on this to help out the decision.

I have 235 65 17 Toyo open country 2's and have seen a decrease in torque . It really bothers me, but I knew it would with a change in the tire size. I would like to get the go pedal to help fix this peoblem.
