my owners manual says use only chrysler products ya big price tag to . so my book dosen't give any info than chrysler products but the auto parts stores say i can use this type or that type of fluid . so my question is for a 2018 renegade latitude 4x4 what kind of trans fluid can i use in the 9 speed trans and what should i use in the diffs ?? I don't have any problems with either but I would like to change all of it just for my own peace of mind . thanks to all answers .

For ease of buying the same thing, Both the front PTU and the rear diff can use the same fluid, I used Castrol Syntrax Long Life SAE 75W-90 in mine.

I would bite the bullet on the ZF Tranny fluid from Mopar, It's pricey, but there really isn't an "Equivalent" unless you want to go to Amsoil or Royal Purple, and that will cost more, not less... I also wouldn't bother changing until you top at least 80,000 miles... Changing the filter makes it a major task, and these things are really designed to go the life of the vehicle (150k +) on the original fluid..
