I emailed them and they made a custom spacer for it

Do you know what was "custom" about it or the thickness?

It's sitting out fairly far, the tires width is only a half inch wider than the 225 KO2. But that 245 is an Eload tire, super stiff and super heavy. I was hesitant to do the D load 225/65/17 as I'm running the Yoko ATS. I'll put the KO2 on next set, or when I lift it.. Looking at the 225/75/16 KO2 is lighter of a tire, but still E load. And the new wheels necessary. 235/70/16 isn't so bad, just not tall enough.

    I bet it's a 1.25 or bigger spacer

That's the only thing "customized" about it eh? That's not that odd...

Right! Didn't you get 1.25" spacers at some point in time?

Also, @wayoflife , you've got a ton of jeeping experience. Do you see any problems running this big of a tire?

I called these guys up and they said they had no rubbing but they haven't taken it off road since they put them on.

First off, BFG's tend to run on the small side of things. IF in fact they aren't seeing any rubbing, that would explain why that is. Technically, the tires I am running are supposed to be smaller but I had plenty of rubbing when turning just on pavement. Second, I am totally biased when it comes to Rebel. I used live in their neck of the woods and know them personally - in my humble opinion, they are posers who mainly serve rich pavement princesses. Of course, I'm sure if you ask them, they'll have few choice words about me as well so you can take that for what it's worth. Me, I have nothing to gain or lose by telling the truth as I make nothing and sell nothing. :)

Yea, the guy I was talking to acted just as you described and made the spacer sound "special" or proprietary...

Luckily discount tire is the boss when it comes to tires and are willing to slip on a pair to see if they will fit properly before I buy them. Thanks for chiming in on this.

Are you running 1.25" spacers or 1"?

I finally managed to get the Yokohama Geolander H/TS 225/70R17 tires fitted on my limited 4wd. I used a Daystar 1.5 lift kit and 30mm Bolt on spacers on stock Renegade 17 inch Rims. Really aligns the rims perfectly with the outer arches. Still a little skinny looking. They rub a little full turn, it is a tight fit, but fine for everyday driving anyway will not be doing any off road. That I would leave to my Defender/Vogue hybrid, is just better suited.
It really change the look of the car. Now the Renegade looks like a real Jeep. Haven't noticed any difference in steering and stability. So now the Renny sits about 2 inches higher and 1.5 inches wider than stock. The stock 17" and 16" have a little more offset than most of the aftermarket once I think, so take that in to account too. Would I have changed anything now. Yes I would have ordered Cooper Discoverer 235/70R17. Yokohama 225 wide okayish but still to skinny. Next time around and some serious metal cutting and then you have the perfect look. In my opinion the thing with the Renegade is that its way to easy to make it look like a Jimmy.

Originally, I ran 1" spacers as I was still running factory wheels and they worked out fine. In order to run the 16" wheels I have now, I needed to run 1.25" spacers and that's what I have now.

I plan on running a set of 235/65R17 Hankook Dynapro ATMs with the daystar lift and 1" spacer.

Did the black with my JK. Made a world of difference. Just remember: lots of masking and multiple thin coats. Pretty easy to do.

Just to get back to subject Yokohama Geolander H/TS 225/70R17 will fit with a 1.5 lift and spacers, Standard Rims. Very tight fit and both front wheels will rub, driver side so much that I did the pinch seam trimming and now it fine. As way of life mentioned, some tires are bigger some are smaller.

Hi I'm living in Spain. So I bought them in Germany. Super happy with them, really high quality and light weight. I guess you are from across the pond so maybe not really for your guys sorry. But the company is called Orange Tuning and are bolt on.
