I'm looking to mount a small shovel onto my xtray roof rack for snow or camping. Has anyone used these?

    Original Quick Fist® Clamp for mounting tools & equipment 1" - 2-1/4" diameter (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CQPANY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_O1wMxbVV9YP68

They seem fairly popular but I'm not sure how to mount them onto the roof rack. Any ideas?

I've got a few mounted on my jeeps, these pics are from my Grand Cherokee, mounted to the Gobi rack. I love them. They carry anything from an axe and shovel, to my on-board air tank and flashlight.

Did u drill a hole thru the rack to bolt it on, or did you use a hose clamp?

I drilled a hole, then sprayed a small amount of black paint in the hole to prevent rust. The packages I have bought all had square washers that hold the bolt from pulling through the rubber QuickFist.
