Hey guys, I am thinking about painting all the trim and bumpers on my Renegade with monstaliner. I sent an email to monstaliner to see if it was possible(Adhesion). What I can't decide on is what color to go with. I kind of want something custom, however I am waiting on some sample chips to color match the orange. My question is what do you guys think? Do you think painting the trim orange(matching the decals) to much? or should I just stick with black? I have requested chip samples in "Red Head", "Zombie Sunset" and "Dark Burnt Orange." Here is the link - http://www.monstaliner.com/forms/monstaliner_colors.htm I am sure it will pop with that much orange! I can't seem to upload a pic but my Jeep is Alpine White 75th Edition.
Not sure I can help with your color, but I have thought a little about coating the plastic trim pieces and bumpers in some sort of liner similar to this. I would definitely do mine back a really dark gray or black though. If I ever do it, it will most likely be a year or more down the road if the plastic gets scratched up badly or starts to really fade.
1) I'd actually probably experiment with colors using PlastiDip. That way, you can peel it off and try other things....or just leave it on if you like what you see. 2) Herculiner could work, but it's black only, but it's very tough and easier to purchase locally (local Home Depot, Lowes). Just my $0.02. Duck
They may have curtailed production of multiple colors recently, you can now get black and gray online only it appears.: http://www.herculiner.com/products/ But I like the stuff because it looks more grainy and I've got it painted on a guitar amp and it's indestructible. Duck
