I just want everyone with a 1.3L to know that I performed a muffler delete today, and what a difference a little less back pressure on this turbo makes. Also this is the same exhaust on the 2019 1.3L as on the 2.4L, 1.4L and the diesel. This is definitely not tuned for the 1.3L I can hear so much pressure coming out of the tail pipe with the delete done. Sounds so angry. Also watch my madness maxpower pro post, its coming in Wednesday. I also have a set of 225/70/16 AT coming in also.
I have a 1.3L so far I love it. It does have some decent power, but occasionally the 9 speed is sluggish. Still it’s a lot of fun to drive! I’ll be added a lift and hopefully 245/65/17s soon. It sounds like the exhaust work you did helped, I’ll look into that!
The start of my Shadowfox Jeep 2020 Renegade Trailhawk 1.3L Rino Rack crossbar Rola roof basket Valkyrie side ladder next up ! ATP 2” lift & BFG K02 245/65/17 or 235/65/17
I have a 1.3 as well and trying to figure out if it would sound good with an exhaust. So did you basically cut out old muffler and weld in section of pipe? What do you mean it’s not tuned for the 1.3? Is it running rough, lack of power, throwing codes...?
I've had my 1.4 for a while now. I just made a video removing the rear muffler. Also sounds way better.
I've got the 1.3L in my 2019 TH. I had an Abarth before the jeep and that muffler delete sounds just like my old 500, makes sense since it's the same engine and they were straight piped from the factory. I like the 1.3L, even though it sounds like a diesel. I put my Abarth's 500 madness pedal booster on my Jeep (same exact drive by wire system). Makes a massive difference, no more lag off the line. On sport + it will send you head into the headrest off the line. It doesn't actually make more power, it just lets you actually give it some juice, instead of fuel sipping nanny's robbing your fun with that aweful throttle lag that most confuse with turbo lag. Made a huge difference in my Abarth as well.
